Virtualization Ready

Virtualization Ready

Designed for virtualization, the Dell PowerEdge T710 featuring Intel®  Xeon® processors, embedded hypervisors and expanded memory and I/O.

Dell’s next-generation PowerEdge T710 server offers enhanced system performance and more virtual machine per server capacity than previous generations.

Dell also provides a smart path to virtualization—a path grounded in choice and defined by industry standards. Customers can choose their hypervisor from developers such as VMware®  or Microsoft® , enabling virtualization with a few clicks of a mouse.

Simplified Systems Management

The next-generation Dell OpenManageTM  suite offers simplified operations and standards-based commands. It’s designed to integrate with existing systems for effective control.

Dell’s Lifecycle Controller is built to simplify administrator tasks. It can perform a complete set of provisioning functions-such as system deployment, system updates, hardware configuration and diagnostics-from a single intuitive interface called the Unified Server Configurator (USC) in a pre-OS environment. This is designed to eliminate the need for multiple pieces of disparate CD/DVD media.

The Dell Management Console is designed to reduce manual processes, so more time can be spent on strategic uses of technology. Powered by Altiris®  from SymantecTM  it delivers a single view and a common data source into the entire infrastructure and offers an easily extensible, modular foundation for hardware, asset and security management.
