Hardware Maintenance Training Solutions

Dell offers hardware maintenance training through the Dell Certified Systems Expert program. DCSE prepares independent service maintenance technicians or companies with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide their own maintenance. Technicians are required to pass an exam to achieve an accreditation on client systems (portables, desktops and workstations) or servers. Technician may receive accreditation in both areas if desired.

PowerEdge Configuration and Troubleshooting - 9G
This course replaces Dell Hardware Maintenance - Servers Course
Two-day, instructor-led course that helps prepare IT professionals to deploy and support Dell PowerEdge servers. Focusing on Dell's new 9th-generation servers, the course relies on hands-on lab interactions to reinforce learning objectives. This course was developed in conjunction with Dell's highest-ranking internal product support group, and the course objectives were designed to address the most common support call drivers.
NOTE: This course does not cover blade servers or blade technology.

Dell Desktop and Notebook Configuration and Troubleshooting
This two-day instructor-led training course has been designed to teach students basic Dell® desktop and laptop troubleshooting techniques to help students quickly and effectively identify problems and implement the correct solutions to help ensure maximum availability of their equipment. The desktop course covers the current catalog of Dell desktops and workstations. The laptop course covers the D-Series LatitudeT laptops as well as the Latitude XTTM  tablet PC and Dell's latest family of laptops, the E-Series. This course integrates hands-on disassembly/reassembly and scenario based troubleshooting labs with theory of operation, component removal and replacement procedures, and hardware troubleshooting training to help provide for the immediate practical application of knowledge.

Dell Desktop and Notebook Configuration and Troubleshooting (DNT) Assessment
Technicians must pass the DNT online exam on either client systems (notebooks, desktops and workstations) or servers in order to receive accreditation in that particular line of business.
Online FormatExam $199/per student


Certification Renewal

DCSE accreditation is valid for one year. As new products are launched, DCSE technicians will be required to pass new modules within announced time frames. Provided the Associate DCSE technician continues to complete the new modules and exams, a comprehensive examination is not required at the time of annual renewal. If the new modules and exams are not completed, a comprehensive examination will be required for continuation of DCSE accreditation.
