| Q | Why does Dell Financial Services ask for my SIN number? |
| A | To complete your financing quickly and efficiently, your SIN number, together with other personal information provided to us by you, is used by Dell Financial Services to access your credit bureau information. SIN numbers are unique. Therefore, a SIN number increases the likelihood we obtain your personal credit file, and not someone else's, when we place a request to credit reporting agencies. | Q | Am I required to provide my SIN number to Dell Financial Services when I apply for credit? |
| A | You are under no obligation to provide your SIN. If you choose not to provide your SIN, Dell Financial Services can still access your credit bureau information but you will need to be prepared to provide Dell Financial Services with other personal information such as a major credit card number and your date of birth. | Q | Can I submit an online credit application without a SIN number? |
| A | Without a SIN number, your credit application cannot be processed online. Please contact us at 1-800-WWW-DELL (1-800-999-3355) and we can process your application based on other information. Please be prepared to provide other personal information such as a major credit card number and your date of birth. Back to Top |
| Q | Why do I have to have the same Bill-to and Ship-to addresses on my order? |
| A | To ensure a timely execution of your financing order, the same bill-to and ship-to addresses must be on the order. By having this, it protects you from fraud as well as ensures you will receive the equipment you ordered. If there is a discrepancy between the 2 addresses, this will delay the order process. | Q | What happens to my order if I am not approved for financing? |
| A | Should your order not be approved for financing, you will receive such a message shortly after your credit application is submitted. At this point you will be routed to choose another payment option or you may contact Dell for further assistance. Back to Top |
